Turtle Citadel, Phuong Mountain · Part 2: The Unfinished Capital

About
More than two hundred years ago, Emperor Quang Trung chose the land at the foot of Dũng Quyết Mountain to build a new capital at the heart of the country: Phượng Hoàng Trung Đô (the Central Phoenix Capital). The emperor died before it was finished, and the little phoenix, the capital's guardian spirit, sank into a long sleep.
On waking, Phượng has only a phoenix-feather fan left, and on its face appears a mountain with four ridges. You join Phượng to crack a secret letter and redraw the map of the unfinished capital; you can follow the whole story even without playing Part 1.
📍 Start: The foot of Dũng Quyết Mountain, at the temple path off Dũng Quyết road (Vinh city).
⏱ Duration: about 60–75 minutes.
🚶 Distance: about 1 km of steep mountain road (on foot or by motorbike).
🕘 Suggested schedule: daytime only; start around 7:00–9:00 or 15:00–16:00 and come down before dark.
💰 Possible costs:
- No ticket is needed to play: every stage is on the mountain road, the stone steps and the temple courtyard.
- Parking, drinks and temple donations: up to you; check actual fees on site.
⚠️ Notes: the mountain road is steep and winding with many blind bends; people with heart, blood pressure, respiratory or joint conditions, pregnant women, the elderly and young children should consider their health and go with family or friends. Do not play in rain, thunderstorms, fog or near dark; on a motorbike, wear a helmet and never use your phone while riding.
💡 Tips: wear shoes with good grip and bring water and a power bank. Read the game rules carefully before setting off, as players are responsible for their own safety.
Rules
- ⚠️ Safety on the mountain: The road up to the temple is about 1 km long, steep and winding, with many blind bends and stretches right next to the pine forest, followed by 81 stone steps. Assess your own health before playing; if you have heart, blood pressure, respiratory or joint conditions, are pregnant, or are with elderly people or young children, go slowly, rest often or skip the steps. If you feel tired, short of breath or dizzy, stop and rest immediately.
- By motorbike: wear a helmet, ride slowly, use a low gear going downhill, keep to the right and sound your horn at blind bends. Never hold or look at your phone while riding: location stages confirm automatically when you arrive, so only check your phone once you have fully stopped in a safe place.
- On foot: wear shoes with good grip, bring enough water, keep close to the right-hand edge and watch out for vehicles going up and down. Do not look at your phone while walking, especially when climbing the stone steps.
- Weather: do not play in rain, thunderstorms, fog or near dusk; the steep road and stone steps can be slippery. Avoid the harsh midday sun and bring water.
- In the pine forest: do not leave the main road to go into the forest, do not climb rock faces, do not light fires or smoke, and do not litter. Go in a group or let family or friends know where you are.
- Emergency: call 112 (search and rescue) or 115 (medical emergency).
- Daytime play only (suggested 7am–5pm); avoid the harsh midday sun. The temple is open to visitors free of charge.
- The temple is a sacred space: dress modestly (sleeved tops, trousers or skirts below the knee), speak softly, keep quiet, and never sit or climb on the steles, screen, bell or drum; keep photography inside the shrine hall to a minimum.
- The road up the mountain is about 1 km, steep and winding: on a motorbike, ride slowly, keep right and give way to vehicles coming down; on foot, wear sneakers and bring water.
- Items live in your session inventory: the Secret Letter Fragment is used to assemble the secret letter, while the Site-Selection Edict and the Phoenix-Wing Seal are used for Crafting. Items from Part 1 do not carry over to Part 2.
- When stopping to look or take photos, make way for people coming to offer incense and don't block the main path.
