The Guild Ledger of Old Hanoi

Hanoi once had "thirty-six streets and guilds", each street a craft and each craft its own customs. Linh, a young researcher, has just found an old guild ledger, but its pages have been torn out.

Stranger still, the ledger records no addresses: each page leaves only a riddle about the next guild. You solve the riddles, find your own way and gather the craft pages and goods of each guild.

Along the way you solve riddles, match photos with real details and piece together torn pages. At the end you put the whole guild ledger back together.

📍 Start: Ô Quan Chưởng gate (at Đào Duy Từ street).

⏱ Duration: about 2 hours.

🚶 Distance: about 3 km on flat streets.

🕘 Suggested schedule: play in daylight, starting around 8:00–9:00 or 15:00–16:00 to avoid the midday heat.

💰 Possible costs:

• No ticket is needed to play: every stage is on the street, outside buildings.

⚠️ Notes: Old Quarter pavements are narrow and motorbike traffic is heavy, so keep to the side and cross carefully.

💡 Tips: bring water, a hat and a power bank. Wear clothes that cover your shoulders and knees if you go inside the temple.
